Serving with Bob
I served with Bob,We called him charlie alpha, He was my squad leader. I was only in Vietnam about two months and was with Bob on 2 May 1970. Our unit was in Cambodia and we just discovered a large cache of rice and we destroyed it. I was walking behind the point man Spike and Bob switched places with me. Twenty minutes later we were ambushed by the NVA. Bob and Spike lost their lives and I took an ak round that shattered my leg. Five more were wounded that horrible day. I am so sorry for his loss. Not a day goes by that I find my self remembering Bob And Spike.
