Thank you...

I was two months old when you died so I never met you, but you are my family. You were my dad's cousin and he loved you very much. He has kept your memory alive by telling me your story, and I in turn have passed that on to my 17 year old son. My son is amazed at your bravery & courage you displayed at such a young age, and you are his hero. We love you and will meet one sweet day.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SGT Robert Almasy, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

For SGT Robert ALMASY, USA...One of Coraopolis's bravest of heroes, who gave his all for us!!!!!!!!!

He loved us so.

Every day, in a hundred ways, he told us so.

In honesty, in affection, he told us so.

He loved us so.

Every day, in a hundred ways, he showed us so.

With loyalty and bravery, he showed us so.

He was our defender, and he kept us free!

He took an oath to guard us, and fought for liberty!

He loved us so, and we should know.

For we loved him so.

Sergeant Almasy, you were one of the bravest of heroes that Coraopolis ever produced! You have all to defend liberty everywhere! And you fought for the right, without question or pause! I believe that Avonmore's own Jill Corey, whom I regard as one of my three top favorite songbirds of all time, along with England's Julie Andrews, and another thrush from England, who unfortunately passed on in 1999, Dusty Springfield, would be very proud of your service to America, and the sacrifices made by you to keep us free! ARMY STRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To Put A Face With A Name

Robert, to honor your memory and the sacrifice you made for our country I want to make sure your photo will be displayed on your birthday when the Education Center is completed, so it is with great pride and humility that I post this remembrance with a picture of you that was posted by your niece, Jennifer Almasy on 'thewall-usa'. You are not forgotten and remain in the hearts of many all these years later. You have been designated to be one of God's special angels, along with the love of my life, who also sacrificed his life during this war. God Bless You Robert for being who you were and for all you did--we live in freedom to this day thanks to heroes like you.
