Although my husband and I never had the opportunity to meet you, we are proud to be part of your family. Our son, Robert, is named in honor of you. God bless.

Robert, Although we never met, I just want you to know you are not forgotten. You gave the ultimate sacrifice, your life for what you believed in. Sleep well and thank you.

For the Gridley High School Posting Project, I would like to recognize you for all of your hard work and dedication to our country during the war. Your willingness to sacrifice your life and possessions is unimaginable. I am very grateful for your service and sacrifices. You will always be a hero in America’s eyes. God Bless.

My father, Tony Almasy, served in the Vietnam war. He had a younger brother named Robert who died as an infant in 1949. I doubt we are related, but everytime I (we) visit the wall, we go to Robert's name.

If you knew Robert, my heart goes out to you.
