Dear Dave
I will be going to the Vietnam Memorial Wall tomorrow to honor you and remember all of the good times that we had together in such a short time. Joanne will be with me to also honor your good buddy, Kurt Edie who lost his life in Vietnam, as a corpsman with the Marines, almost 4 months to day after you. Vicki McMurray-Kysor

My friend, Dave
I met Dave in 1965 while he was stationed at Balboa Naval Hospital and I was visiting a friend who returned home after injuries in Vietnam. I was in nursing school and Dave and I became very close. He loved my family and we loved him. Devastation is the only word that came to mind when I was notified of his death. He was a warm and tender man, and corpsman who gave his life for our country. Rest In Peace. Love, Vicki McMurray-Kysor
