Friend from Grayling High School

Jim

I was a classmate of your younger sister Jerry at Grayling High School. You were a junior or senior and we were 7th graders. I remember seeing you walking around the school. You were tall - about 6'5' as I remember and seemed even taller as I was much younger. You towered over us little guys.
After your graduation we got the news of your passing. You seemed much too young to be gone. It really brought the war up close and personal after hearing the news. I looked for your name on the Vietnam memorial when we were in Washington DC many years ago and couldn't find it. I am glad that we reconnected here.
