THE WALL OF FACES

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...

Dear WO Thomas Forsythe,
Thank you for your service as an Utility/Observation Helicopter Pilot. It is now fall, and as the seasons pass, it is important to remember you all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

We served together, laughed together, and drank together. When I returned from my mission and learned of your death, I was devastated. I think of you every December 21st, for we lost you on by birthday. Rest in peace, my friend. Your pal, Phoenix Double Deuce.
