Family Does Not Forget

Uncle Tommy was gone before I could really know him to remember him. I stand in his memory on Memorial Day. My goal is for my children to be able to stand to honor him, and for the generations to come, to know that someone who was their kin served this great county with honor and dignity. Let us never forget the sacrifice of this life that ended far to soon. May the gathering of his memories bring peace, joy, honor, encouragement and healing to the family.

Reading of the names

On Sunday, November 10, 2002 I had the honour of
reading aloud the name of Thomas Forsythe during the
20th Anniversary ceremony at The Wall in Washington, DC.
All 58,229 names on The Wall were being read by a group
of nearly 2,000 people during a 4 day period, ending
with the Veterans Day memorial on November 11.

I work most weekends as a Volunteer for the National
Park Service at The Wall. It was an honour to have had
the opportunity to read the name of Thomas Forsythe and
to have him stand guard over me every time I am at
The Wall.
