Remembering An American Hero

Dear WO Thomas Lynn Forsythe, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

MY MOMMA'S BABY BROTHER

I am one of his many nieces. His date of death was on my tenth birthday. I remember that day when we received word of his death. This impacted my life greatly. I do remember the year before at Christmas Uncle Tommy hid a tape recorder and recorded his nieces and nephews playing, talking. The oldest was 15 at the time.

Tommy

I had left Nam by the time Tommy got there. I kept track of him thro one of his brothers.
Went to school with Tommy at Gaston.
I was in shock when I heard. Tommy was a great guy-I still think of him-what a lose.
