MY FRIEND BRUCE
Bruce and I were both from Snohomish county and we met after high school. We were from different towns but we became fast friends. We used to cruise Colby avenue together in the evenings and park up on Rucker Hill and talk about what we were going to do with our lives. When Bruce was killed I was stationed in Quang Tri with the Seabees and I never even knew he was in country. Our paths sort of parted when we had to join the military. I wish I could talk to someone who was there with Bruce at the end. Bruce was a good friend and an honorable man, he will always be 21. I honor his memory and am proud to have been his friend. Sleep well Bruce, you kept the faith.
