We Will Remember
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Thank You
Dear Lt Raymond Caswell,
Thank you for your service as a Civil Affairs Officer. It is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Ground Casualty
Lai Khe Base Camp was located along Highway 13 to the northwest of Saigon and served as the Headquarters for the U.S. Army's 1st Infantry Division from October 1967 until October 1969. On January 25, 1968, the Viet Cong used mortars and anti-tank weapons to attack Lai Khe. During the barrage, the officer’s mess area was hit, inflicting several casualties. The dead included MAJ Roland K. Davis, MAJ Francis G. Gercz Jr., 1LT Raymond M. Caswell, 2LT Michael S. Romano, SP5 Julius W. Morris Jr., and SP4 Kenneth R. Trier. SP5 Morris was posthumously awarded the Silver Star medal for entering the flaming wreckage of the demolished building to rescue the wounded and trapped inside. He died when the building collapsed around him. [Taken from coffeltdatabase.org and SP5 Morris’ Silver Star citation]

Remembering An American Hero
Dear 1LT Raymond M Caswell, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
