We Will Remember
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Remembering!
His family lived next door to us when we were at Maxwell and lived off base. My dad and mom were very involved with them. Used to wear his bracelet. This is a reminder of the sacrifice these heroes made for our country.

I prayed for him every night.
Steve Capppelli and I were in first grade when our fathers were at Nellis AFB together at fighter weapons school in the F105. Ed Cappelli would go to Viet Nam first, and would be reported MIA. (My dad, Joe Grimaud, would go later as a Wild Weasel.) Steve’s father, Ed Cappelli was soon reported MIA. I prayed for him every night for years, but he never came home. It still grieves me to go to the memorial and see his name. RIP Lt. Col. Cappelli. You are missed still.
