I prayed for Charles as a teenager
Today I found the POW Bracelet I wore as a teenager. Major Charles Cappelli 11-17-67. I remember watching the news as servicemen came home, hoping to hear his name.
Today I also learned his remains were identified and sent home in 1988. To his family, I am so sorry for your loss.

So glad you are home
My uncles name was Charles he to was a pilot who died in a plane crash. I named my son after him in 1982. It was not until many years later when I found my Mia bracelet that I realized all three were named Charles. I just found out he made it home.

MIA Bracelet
I, too, wore a bracelet with his name. I was only a little girl when my mom bought the bracelet for me. I wore it everyday and tried to stay up on what might have happened to him... I wrote a letter to his family years later to tell them that I still had the bracelet. Unfortunately, at that time, they told me that he had been found.. Now as an adult, I still have the bracelet and respect and honor all that he sacrificed for our country.. Respect and Honor..
