A really good friend.
Larry and I were in the same unit in Viet Nam. We worked together every day, even going on R+R together. The day he died I was watching from the truck behind, as he ran over a mine and died instantly. A Med-evac was called but he was gone. I was 19 at the time and heart broken. I so regret not sending a letter to his family. He was such a funny, upbeat kind of guy and I miss him so much. I just found about this site and am glad to right something that has bothered me all my life. Rest in peace buddy. Love you.

Thank You
Dear Cpl Larry Campbell,
Thank you for your service as a Field Radio Operator. As another summer comes to an end, it is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
