Remembering Charles "Chuck" Byrd on Memorial Day 5/31/2021
Dear Chuck, I am 72 years old now, America is still a proud free nation, still a beacon of light, you are the hero of the Class of 1966 International School of Bangkok, thanks for your service and sacrifice to our Freedom, never to be forgotten. Long after I pass, I will not be remembered, however, the Nation will always remember you as people stroll passed your name on the Vietnam Memorial. I am profoundly sorry you never were able to marry and have children, a career, laughter, it hurts that life was short for you, God Bless, here is a picture of you as a member of the ISB rugby Team, 1966

Gone but not forgotten
I fondly remember Chuck from high school at the International School of Bangkok. He was always a kind sweet boy whom everybody liked. We graduated together and all these years later our classmates keep his memory alive in our hearts.

I remember you
Chuck, I was thinking about you from High School in Bangkok in 1966, the track team and cross country long distance runs with Roger Saunders, those carefree days of high school, the world was so different then, you just would not believe America today 2018, one thing never changes, you are forever young as we grow old, see you in Heaven
