do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
As long as you are remembered you will always be with us....
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
As long as you are remembered you will always be with us....

ALLEN
I peruse the virtual wall everyday and I look at all the young men who never made it to old age like I did. Every time I come to Hervey's picture, I am drawn into it, it must be a recognition of kinship or something (I am an Allen), my father's people come from Scottsville, VA. I got to Vietnam 7 months after Hervey fell but by the grace of God I survived all of 1968, as wars go it was nasty. God Bless the Allen family, yours and mine, I know I'll see Hervey on the other side and when we're both young again.
