Great Men Buried In Murray Ut

Neil is buried close to my grandfather who served in the Army in WWI.

I always stand in tribute to his service and am sad that his life was cut shot when ever I visit.

Was with him when he died

I was with Neil the day he died; his foxhole was next to mine. It was dusk and getting dark fast when there was a direct hit on his foxhole by what we believed was a Rifle Propelled Grenade (RPG). I think he died instantly and another soldier with him lost an arm. Neil was not with the unit all that long so I didn't know him that well but he seemed like a good person who served his country well and just wanted to return home in one piece. We were all brothers in arms and a loss of one was a loss for all. We should all pray for Neil and all the brave men and women who made the supreme sacrifice for their country, may God bless them all.

The lives you touched.

Although I never met you I know you had a profound and lasting affect on your family. I know this because I married one of your nephews who, to this day, talks about how important you were to him. My gift to him on our first anniversary was to name our oldest son after you.

Thank you for helping him be the wonderful person he is today.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Neil Shipp Brown, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

Married to mother.

Neil was married to my mother although he died before I was born in 74 and my father married my mother in 1970. I remember seeing letters and things with his name on them growing up and always wanted to know something about him. I have rubbed his name several times when visiting the wall and gave them to my mother.
