Thank you , Barone family and friends
I grew up in Brooklyn around the same time. At a memorial day service I attended those of us without military family ties were encouraged to research someone from their hometown, and my internet sleuthing led me here. I am grateful for his service to our country and I am glad to read that there is a park/tree in Brooklyn for him.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from Clarence Grow is especially poignant and reflects the anguish experienced by so many as a result of this war. May you rest in eternal peace.
