Thinking of you

We were classmates at Mary Queen of Heaven, wish that i had gotten to know you better. i remember you were the quite type and I believed you live on Ave L
I was in Nam 06/66 to 07/67, many from the neighborhood were drafted and served in Nam. You and Vince Hickman who was raised on my block E 57 street gave the ultimate.
I will always remember you
God Bless

Thank you

On this Memorial day. I remember to say thank you to a man I never knew. I grew up near a triangle dedicated to your memory. So, you serve as the standard bearer for all service personnel with only a name and face. That gave the last full measure of devotion.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AS A GRUNT. I LIVED IN QUEENS SO I KNEW BROOKLYN. I HATE THAT YOU DIED NEAR YOUR BIRTHDAY. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE. ADVENT IS HERE, AND CHRISTMAS IS APPROACHING. WE ARE THANKFUL FOR YOU. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE SAINTS AND ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEAC

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Cosmo Leonard Barone, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
