I went on R&R with Jim in July of 67 to Singapore we had a great time. So sorry he was KIA in Nam. Rest in Peace Brother.

Corporal James Aloyisus Brennan, Served with Company L, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Third Marine Amphibious Force.

This is his boot camp photo from Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Platoon 318. He earned the title “U.S. Marine” on June 3, 1965.

Jim was part of a special circle of friends that did everything together. We graduated Ladue High school together, I joined the Navy, Jim followed joining the Marines and he wore the uniform proudly. When I got the notice of his loss I admit to shedding tears for his families loss. He was a great guy with a large heart and love of life. I had the honor of observing how much his family loved him, even while hollering at him for staying out too late on Saturday nite. Never again able to hug his mother or bratty lil sisters he loved dearly. Till we meet again Jim, THANK YOU for being a special friend that will never be forgotten ! SEMPER FI MARINE !
