THE WALL OF FACES

I forget how I met Henry Luke. Probably at the Beta house. I think he was a Beta. We studied hard together first year of college; during the second year he would come over to the apartment and where I and my wife and baby son lived. I remember his wonderful drawl and the challenges he had to get some of the subject matter that we were studying. He was such a sweet young man. I still think of him often. I've touched his name – release gazed at it – numerous times on the wall in DC. I miss him.

Henry Luke never sought any glory from service: he did seek to do his duty. An exceptional athlete, no one played games with as much intensity. Sometimes the good die young and so it was with him.
