honoring you....

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. You died at 18 years of age. I am 74 and have lived a long and fulfilling life. It is tragic you never had that same opportunity. May you rest in eternal peace.

My favorite uncle

You gave your all my favorite uncle Robert Earl Terrell. I will never forget the day they come to tell my granny that you were gone that piercing scream she let out. You was her middle son she loved you dearly same as I did. I was only 8 years old when they come that day now I'm 61 it seems like yesterday. I had a grandson born on your birthday and I always tell him he was born on a hero's birthday. You was the best there ever was. Now my mom slash your sister and my granny slash your mom and you are all in heaven together now. I can remember the funeral like it was yesterday that 21 gun salute was heartbreaking. You were so young you gave everything left your family friends and all. You are my favorite uncle it will always be until we meet again I love you. My mama told me when I was born that you asked the doctor could we trade her in for a boy. Lol Your favorite niece Jeanie Marie Burton.

A Friend

I went to Bradford High School in Starke, Florida with Robert. We had a PT class together his Senior year and our lockers were near each other. He was a good guy.

Thank You

Dear PFC Robert Terrell, Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Infantryman. Your 73rd birthday just passed, happy birthday. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Monday was Independence Day. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
