Dear Pvt Terence Tangen, Thank you for your service as a Machine Gunner. I researched you on your 56th anniversary, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is summer. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I was just a little girl but I remember Terry, my big brother’s best friend. Ed Goossens and Terry were good buddies. My family was broken-hearted to hear of his death. In 2003 I found a letter from Terry which I gave to my brother. Terry mentioned his faith in God along with the place where he died. I’ll never forget Terry even though I was so young. Rest In Peace brother

Terry, Through all the years, we have missed you so--Kathy, me, Moira, John, and Steve. You were the best older brother--so handsome, so full of fun, and so protective of us. Thoughts flood my mind, but only a few words can I write. Others can't understand the tremendous part you played in our tight-knit circle or how your death left us broken. You were to be home soon--but the marine showed up at the house instead. Love, love, love you everyday. Mom, Dad, and John are with you now.
