we will remember
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Final Mission of PFC Charles M. Swaim
PFC Charles M. Swaim was a rifleman serving with Headquarters & Service Company, 3rd Battalion, 26th Marines, 3rd Marine Division. On February 10, 1967, PFC Swain was on a patrol with Marine S2 (intelligence) scouts in support of the 3rd Marine Division conducting area surveillance and reconnaissance six miles southeast of Phong Dien in Thua Thien Province, RVN. At approximately 10:55 AM, Swaim ran into a pull-wire on a 250 lb. bomb rigged as a land mine. He was killed instantly in the blast; another Marine on the patrol was seriously wounded.
