I Flew with Capt. Boucher in Vietnam

I was a helicopter crew chief in the 7th Squadron, 1st Air Cavalry, A Troop Scouts while Captain Boucher was the platoon leader. I flew several missions with him. He was known to be an excellent pilot and was never shot down, until the day on which he was killed. For a Scout, never being shot down was a great achievement. He had a particular technique when hovering around at low level, making his ship hard to hit. If I remember correctly, when he was killed, he had less than a month to go before the end of his tour. I have attached a picture of myself.

My Father, Robert C Boucher

Please know my Father was Captain Robert C Boucher, KIA Vietnam. I deeply feel every one of these remembrances and am grateful for everyone who has taken time to do so. I was one year old when my Father gave his life with our future freedom in mind. I appreciate and encourage anyone to contact me to tell me about my Father.
Please know I was adopted a number of years later, and lived overseas where my name was changed after a series of passport/onbase-offbase issues as a US Child without anyone of the same name on the base.
