Fellow Classmate

I was shocked to learn that Jack was killed in Vietnam. He was my high school classmate and a

really nice guy. He was funny, loved chess, baseball and bowling. Rest In Peace dear Jack

From your Norwegian family

I grew up with your picture on my grandmothers desk and standing next to it a burning candle lit in remembrance. My grandmother was your cousin and told vividly the story of you and kept the memory of you alive. Later I have spent many an hour talking about you and your family with your sister Gisela during her visits in Norway. I was inspired of your courage, though mostly in youthful ignorance and bliss, to go seek a purpose higher than myself and joined the Norwegian Armed Forces. I did several combat tours and unfortunately lost soldiers and friends along the way. I have chosen the motto of the Marines as an homage to them and you. A last greeting from your family in Norway. We knew each other

We were friends as children in West 100s of Manhattan. We had fun and did we kids do. Sadly you died so young and I’ve gone on to live. I’m 71 now as you would be. Rest In Peace. God Bless You, my friend and brother

Gone but never forgotten.....

Jack's passing weighed heavy on the hearts of so many - his mother most of all, his sisters indelibly, and family members and friends who to this day mark each passing year on his and our Birthdays, his Death Day, Memorial Day, Veteran's Day, and each instance when some event triggers the thought of where he would be now had he lived as he loved - playing chess, fishing, reading - and not laid down his life. He didn't even get the chance to vote as a citizen of this great country for which he died. Please register to vote and vote your conscience for truth, justice, and the American Way.
