Thank You
Dear Lt Charles Slusser, Thank you for your service as a Special Forces Qualified Infantry Unit Commander. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Winter will end soon, and Lent has begun. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

If ZI should die...remembrances for 1LT Charles Rodney SLUSSER, USA...who gave his all for us!!!
If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart, and trembling hand to do something to comfort other hearts than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine...and I, perchance, may therein comfort you.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear 1LT Charles Rodney Slusser, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter

The Greatest Big Brother Ever~
It has been so long since Chuck left us. But it still feels like yesterday. He was the kinda of guy you meet once in a lifetime, but can never forget. He volunteered to go into the army. He was always traveling from one base to another to go to as many training centers as possible...including Special Forces at Fort Bragg,North Carolina. Becoming a Green Beret, and earning top spot in his Paratroop Class. Attending O.C.S. and becoming a 2nd Lt., advancing to 1st Lt. and heading to Hawaii, to train his squad before going to Nam. He was the most honest man you will ever meet. He only lied to me once...at the airport. When he said I'll be coming back I promise!! We both knew he was lying to me to spare my feelings . Thanks Big Brother for the 14 years of love. God Bless You.
