THE WALL OF FACES

Today it occured to me to check via internet for Thomas Scheurich's name on the Wall. To his family, I think often about your loved one and his sacrifice.

Thomas I wear your MIA bracelet every August 19th; your birthday, every March 1st, your date of loss, every Memorial Day; your day of tribute, and every Veteran's Day. While these four days are truly special, your selfless sacrifice humbles all of us 365 days a year. Thank you.

Thomas E. Scheurich was my father. He was a very good man -- great husband, terrific dad, devoted son, loving brother, and so much more. He is still remembered by those that knew him and loved him, as I do. He has been missing for almost 31 years, but sometimes it seems like only moments have passed . . . Please keep my father, and all of the men and women who are still unaccounted for, in your prayers. I love you, Dad. Your daughter, Ellen
