I still remember you as my best friend and as a brother Marine

I visited the traveling Wall at the York Fairgrounds today May 5, 2016. 58 years have passed since your KIA on March 9, 1968 at Khe Sanh. Touched your name on the wall, those scars have not healed after all this time. Hope to see the real Wall in Washington, D.C. it's been too many years. Through our life as friends & brothers, your mother Mrs. Rebecca Russell, your wife Jerry, your brothers. And your daughter Sabrina whom I held at your Funeral services in N.C., as she was only 6 months old. And now after 45 years later, have got in contact with her and was able to share with her our past friendship with the pictures, letters, and contact we had since our friendship from 1962 to 1968. Reliving those times for the father she did not through me. A miracle and good fortune, thank God; and your memory lives on through us all !

My Dad

My name is Sabrina, formerly Sabrina Russell. David Russell was my father. My mother's name is Geralding, known as Jerri. I have pictures of my father with me when I was a baby. He was killed in Vietnam in 1968 when I was just 1 year old. I don't remember him. I loved seeing the post that people have shared about him. Thank you for your kind words. I have enclosed a picture of him and my mother, as well as me and my oldest son, who was named after him, David. Thank you again.
