Semper Fi

Ron and I were in the same platoon at TBS in 1968. He and Will Pyle were two of my closest friends. I went on to Artillery School at Ft. Sill, while both of them went to VN as platoon commanders. Both were KIA in May 1969, about the same time I arrived in country. They died honorably leading other marines in combat.

Always remember Ron

I have thought about Ron every day for the last 50 years. He was my best friend in High School- I was the best man at his wedding. He meant so much to me and know how well he served our country with all of his might. I would love to hear from anyone who knew him from the service and I have not been successful in locating his widow Martha Miller from the Albany Troy area. I can be contacted via my email of [email protected]

A Very Brave Marine

Ron and I were in the same platoon at the Officers Basic School at Quantico so I knew Ron well. Ron was an outstanding Marine. He had a very strong sense of duty and great physical courage. He was a fighting Marine and was leading an assault when he was KIA. His memory is truly honored. Semper Fidelis

I Never Knew You

I visited the Wall and I had an overwhelming thought to find a fallen hero with my name. I first reached the Wall and extended my arm and your name was at my fingertip. You were ten years older then me - and were a young Marine officer when you made the ultimate sacrifice. I never knew of you until that day.
