Thank You

Dear PFC Edward Ramos, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Independence Day just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

My Memories of Edward Ramos

Edward and I went to school together from the first grade until high school. Edward and I became friends in 8th grade when Mrs.Johnson paired us as partners in a weekly blackboard diagraming bee. He called”Miss Kelley. I called him Edward. In high school he was an outstanding football defensive player. Unfortunately there was no offensive counterpart. As I recall Edward dropped out of school after football season of our senior year He was dead before our Senior graduation.
Vietnam was not worth losing Edward Ramos.

Edward Ramos

Edwards and I were distsnt , but special friends. Our 8th grade teacher paired us for diagraming sentences on the black board. We formed special relationship during this time He always called me “Miss Kelley. I called him “Edward” He dropped out of school after Football season of our Senior semester. He was dead by the time of the 1965 class graduated from high school. He was special, and I miss him a lot.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Edward Ramos, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
