Do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
Mary Frye – 1932

Marine Pfc. Raymond B. Ralls, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell B. Ralls Sr., of N. Felton st., West Philadelphia.
Pfc. Ralls, a member of the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Division, was killed last Wednesday near Quang Tri by shrapnel from a land mine. He enlisted in April, 1966, and went to the war zone last June.
His two older brothers, Leonard, 25 and Russell Jr., 26, are former Marines.
His parents said Pfc. Ralls was fond of music and played the guitar. He also was interested in electronics.
In his letters home he rarely mentioned the fighting, his parents said, but mused about what he would do when discharged. He was last home in February, 1967.
Semper Fidelis, Marine!

An affinity for electronics
Raymond B. Ralls
N.Felton Street, West Philadelphia

He played guitar and had an affinity for electronics, but it was the Marines that consumed his interest.
