A high school buddy

Went to the wall today, July 15,2004, to look for your name Dave. I remember the days in high school when you and I and Jerry Gagliardi would go cruising around Mamaroneck and Larchmont. And I still laugh remembering the night you had a bit too much to drink and Jerry and I walked you aroung the parking lot behind the Larchmont Diner. You are rememberd and missed.

A High School Crush

To Dave's family & friends: I was a Mamaroneck High freshman and Dave was a senior. I had such a crush, unknown to him. I became friends with Connie through a mutual friend (Nina Murano), and grieved with her at Dave's passing. My name was Roberta Harris and we lived right at the beginning of Orienta Avenue. Every time I passed your home on the Old Post Road I thought of you. And every time I think of Vietnam I think of Dave. He was such a nice guy. Please know that my heart still goes out to all of you today, as it did 35 years ago. God Bless.

A PRAYER FOR DAVID'S FAMILY

DEAR PORTERFIELDS(DOTTIE & PHIL); THERE IS NOT A DAY THAT GOES BY WHEN I DON'T REMEMBER THE FINE MAN THAT WAS YOUR SON..AND BROTHER PAM...IN MY PRAYERS, I CAME TO LEARN WHAT A CORPSMAN MEANT TO THE MARINES. NO FINER MARINES DID I HAVE WITH ME THAN THE NAVY CORPSMAN WHO FOUGHT SHOULDER TO SHOULDER WITH THE MARINES. I ENDED UP SERVING IN THE SAME BATTLE OF "HASTINGS" AND AM PROUD TO SAY THAT I SERVED WITH CORPSMAN ATTACHED TO THE 3RD MARINE DIVISION. GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN EVER DO FOR ANY OF YOU, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. 180 TURN OF RIVER ROAD,18D, STAMFORD, CT.06905.LOVE TO ALL,TIM.
