Thank You

Dear PFC Preston Polk, Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Indirect Fire Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Tomorrow is Memorial Day (today is Decoration Day) when our nation remembers those of you who paid the ultimate price. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Fifth Grade Memory

Preston and I were in the fifth grade together in Kermit, Texas. He & I got licks for sliding down the recently polished hallway floor. I’ll never forget him! We had fun together as school boys. God bless you Preston!

Rest in Peace

I hadn't been in Vietnam long when I was told you had been killed. I didn't know you all that well in High School, I do remember that you played football. As long as I live you will not be forgotten, Rest easy soldier.
