THE WALL OF FACES

I knew him as "Sonny" in Shelby, Mt. First time I laid eyes on him I was smitten. He was a gentle young man, kind and considerate. I saw him for the last time in Nov. of '66 when he was home on leave, we spent time together. In our innocence we never even thought of the possibility that he would die. I was in Berlin, Germany when I got news he had died, I was broken hearted. I will never forget him, and think of him often. He is remembered, and tears are still shed for a life lost, a life not lived, and all he missed in this world.
