Not Forgotten
I have not forgotten you. I chair the Adoption Committee for The National League of Families of Prisoners of War and Missing in Action in Southeast Asia. We will always remember the 1,889 Americans still unaccounted for in Southeast Asia and the thousands of others that lost their lives. We will not stop our efforts until all of you are home where you belong.
We need to reach the next generation so that they will carry on when our generation is no longer able. To do so, we are attempting to locate photographs of all the missing. If you are reading this remembrance and have a photo and/or memory of this missing American that you would like to share for our project, please contact me at:

Twelve years of hope
On June 26, 1999, I visited the Wall along with my Boy Scout Troop. It was the last site visited. While walking through, I was in awe of a visible sight of the lives lost, not aware at that time that the MIAs were also listed. Upon hearing that and searching the books, I found that SFC Bischoff remains had been accounted for. After searching and finding his name, I made a tracing of his name and with much happiness that the family had answers but grief that after 12 years of wearing my bracelet and answering numerous questions over why I wore his bracelet and another one (still wearing as he was unaccounted for), the Wall became extremely personal to me. God Bless his family and those families still awaiting answers. If the Biscoff family would like copies of the pictures we took, please contact me at [email protected] I left my bracelet along with a short history at his panel. Again, God Bless.

I worn John's bracelet with pride and honor for 28 years.
I have worn your bracelet with honor over the past 28 years. As a young SF medic in 1972 with JCRC was to bring closure for your family. Just recently a friend of mine went back to Laos - the area had changed - once a rice paddie was now a road. I never knew you or your family but you will never be forgotten. Maybe one day I can finally take this bracelet off. Your not forgotten my friend.
