Pow-mia bracelet

I wore his bracelet untile it broke in half.

Never Forgotten-

Like so many others, I wore a bracelet with Lt. Col. Pietsch's name for many years. As the personnel were returned, I searched, hoping that I would see that he was found and returned to the country he loved.
After many years, I was able to send my bracelet to his father, via the U.S. Air Force. I had a wonderful letter from his dad, telling me all about his son and his family. They have been in my prayers always.
Although I never knew him, he will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

To the family

Finding this website brought me to tears ~ Lt Col Pietch has held a place in my heart and prayers since I began wearing his MIA bracelet decades ago. My father was a navy combat pilot during the Vietnam War and i can appreciate the sacrifice Robert and his family made simply choosing to serve in the first place. There are no words to sufficiently express the debt of gratitude we all owe Robert and his family for the ultimate sacrifice he was called to make for the peace of our nation. Humbly...

Maj Robert pietsch

I also wore Maj Pietsch's bracelet for several years. I came across it today so I looked up his name. Glad to read there was finally closure for his family.
