If I should die...remembrances for LTCOL. Robert Edward PIETSCH, USAF...who died so that freedom and justice may live!!!!!!!....HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart, and trembling hand to do something to comfort other hearts than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine...and I, perchance, may therein comfort you.

My hope is that you are still alive somewhere, and safe. Thank you for all you did for us, Americans
Like the others, I wore your POW bracelet during the early 70's. I did try to research information about you on the Vietnam Veterans' web page. I wanted to know if you had a wife or children, and I would have liked to have sent them the POW bracelet with your name. I will continue to pray for your safety, and hope that one day you will return home, or that your family receives conclusive evidence that you are no longer living. God Bless You.

I CARRIED HIS NAME IM MY HEART
AFTER WEARING HIS BRACELET FOR YEARS IN THE 70'S, I WAS ASKED YESTERDAY TO REMEMBER HIS NAME. I KNEW IT RIGHT AWAY. TODAY I SEARCHED FOR THE BRACELET AND PUT IT ON. I STILL CARRY HIS NAME IN MY HEART.

Robert Pietsch Not Forgotten
I visited the Vietnam Memorial for the first time over Memorial Day weekend, 2000. I was reminded that I still possess a POW bracelet with this name on it. I was with a large tour group which would not allow me to search the wall, but decided to try on line. I am saddened to learn that Mr Pietsch is still reported as missing in action.
