Neighbors & Friends

John & I both lived on Barrett Place in Beacon, NY, opposite sides of Dutchess Terrace. Our house was on the corner of Barrett & Dutchess Terr, & the Bennett's lived on the other side of Dutchess Terr where the Dead-End was. All we had to do was cross the street & there was th Bennett's house and vice-versa. John gave me his old bicycle, but my brother decided to take it over because it was a boy's bike. I never did learn to ride a bicylce. I went straight to a 2 wheeler Motorcycle. John was such a nice guy, always smiling. David also was a great person, who also was always smiling. It was such a sad time in our neighborhood when John was killed. Thank you for your Service John, and to this day my heart still hurts that you were taken from your family and all who knew & loved you at such a young age.

Rest in Honor my friend

Dear John,
It has been oh so many years since we ( Kathy, you and I) roamed the halls of St. Johns and BHS. You were a good friend and I do think of you often. May you always rest in the arms of Our Lord.
