Chief Warrant Officer Paul Robert Moran was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his heroism and extraordinary achievement while engaged in aerial flight.
He served as a Helicopter Pilot and was assigned to A CO, 229TH ASLT HELO BN, 11TH AVN GROUP, 1ST CAV DIV.

Dear CWO Paul Moran, Thank you for your service as an Utility/Observation Helicopter Pilot with the 1st Cavalry. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Advent. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Paul died 50 years ago today. We were class mates and friends. We switched positions in the flight the day he died. He will never be forgotten as long as I live. Paul, I miss you dearly.

I never met my Uncle Paul, he died two years before I was born. Thank you for you memories, my family appreciates all of you.
