Soldier's Medal Award
CITATION:
The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier's Medal to Staff Sergeant Thomas Moore, United States Air Force, for heroism involving voluntary risk of life not involving conflict with an armed enemy, on 23 August 1955, at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. On that date, when the arm of an electrician, who was making emergency repairs, touched a live circuit, Sergeant Moore, without thought for his own preservation, immediately responded to the aid of the stricken man. When his first attempt to free the victim failed, Sergeant Moore continued in his efforts until he succeeded. Although shocked himself, he administered artificial respiration until the victim regained consciousness and medical aid arrived. The exemplary courage and decisive actions of Sergeant Moore reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

Never Forget
During my time in basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas we were given POW and MIA remembrance bracelets. Every year for the entire month of October I wear my CMS Thomas Moore remembrance bracelet to show my respect for the men and women of our United States military.

My Uncle Tommy
Uncle Tommy was always a part of our household even though he was MIA before I was born. His big brother my dad passed of cancer not very long after that but he instilled in us all to never forget and we never will.
Always with Love,
