THE WALL OF FACES

Some may think you are forgotten
Though on earth you are no more

my brother, Brian, and I were on the 1969 Athens championship small fry football team that Rick helped coach. The next year he was killed. We will alway remember Rick and found his name on the wall while displayed in Sayre, Pennsylania.

Dear PFC Richard Maynard, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Time passes quickly, but our world needs help. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Rick was a year younger than me. He played third base on the baseball team at Athens High. A great kid with a positive attitude!
