Eagle Remembered

Richard Lee Maynard, Jr. served with Company D, 2-501st Infantry, 101st Airborne while in Vietnam.

He was killed in an accident on December 14, 1970

He and his wife Connie were parents to two small children, Todd and Tracey. Richard was also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Maynard; a brother Terry and a two sisters, Sandra and Lori, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Staley Kilmer and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Maynard.

Richard had graduated in 1967 from Athens High School, Athens, Pennsylvania and while there was a varsity football and baseball player.

He is buried in the Tioga Point Cemetery in Athens, Pennsylvania.
