In Rememberence of William Charles Behren

William C. Behrens was born on January 23rd, 1947. His name is located on the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. at 35 East, Row 86. He died while driving with a fellow soldier due to a sniper on January 31st, 1968 at the age of 21. He had a mother, father, sister, and a wife. At Washington High School (Two Rivers, Wisconsin) he was involved in football (as a linebacker), basketball, and track. He also was president of his High School Freshman Class in 1962 and was a member of the Letterman Club during his junior and senior years. An interesting story about William is that he was the third soldier from Two Rivers Washington High School to lose their life in action while serving in Vietnam.

A GREAT MAN

William Charels Behrens was born on January 23, 1947. His name is located on the vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. at 35 east row 86. He died from gunshot or samll arms force on January 31, 1968 at the age of 21. He had a dad, mom which were councilman and Mrs. Elden Behrens, a sister Kathleen, and his wife. At Washington high school he was involved in football as a linebacker, basketball, and track. Also president of the freshman class and member of the lettersman club, as a jiouner and senior. An intresting story about William is the he was the 3rd student of Washington high school to loose there life in action in vietnam.

The Eighth grade students at the Medford Area Middle School, Medford, WI have been working on a project to put faces with the names of each of the 1159 men from the state of Wisconsin who are listed on "The Wall." It is our hope that through your picture your legacy will live forever.
