With Respect...

On November 9, 2002 at 2 pm, I will be participating in The Reading of the Names for the 20th Anniversary of the Vietnam Wall in DC.

I am honored, and privileged to be able to show tribute to you, and others, with respect, honor and dignity.

Thank you for your service and for your sacrifice.

You will NEVER be forgotten.

NEVER FORGOTTEN

MARTY, it has been over 33 years since I was with you, when you were taken from your family and friends. There isn't a day that goes by without you being in my thoughts. We had some good times together over there and of course some bad times.I just want to thank you for everything, especially for being my friend and crew chief. The pictures I have, show the good times, and you always left your special mark on them. You will NEVER be FORGOTTEN.

My Remembrance

I was 17 when you died. I don't think we ever met, yet you are a memory for me. My daughter recently had to do a report on the Vietnam Wall. She asked me what I remembered about that time. I told her I remembered one person who died in Vietnam and I told her your name. I gave her a name to search for on the Wall. I grew up in Twinbrook and was at a summer party with friends when I heard the heartbreaking news. I remember the tears and how the party just stopped. I wanted to write and thank you for the incredible sacrifice you made for all of us. Your memory lives on.

You have a namesake

We think of you each day. I named my only son after you, and he joined the Army. He, too, will be remembered, as the first American Casualty - wounded in Bosnia. He is proud to carry your name. We are proud to be part of your family.
