My friend, classmate, & fellow veteran

I miss my friend Carl. A few months after the funeral was held here in birmingham, I joined the military. I can still see him with his comb. He always combed his hair. I remember when Larry was taken too. I pray for Carls family.

Do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Not Forgotten

Carl, I never knew you, but I am your nephew. Your father, Harold Mann was my grandfather. He was the greatest person I have ever known. Recently I have been researching The Vietnam War, and I have noticed the bravery and courage of each person involved in the war. I would like to say thank you for all you did in the Vietnam War, and all your father did in World War 2.

NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER

It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die.
