No Relation But Thank You

I read your remembrances and found multiple about how you always carried a comb around. My parents used to do the same, and I will leave their combs and this letter next to your name.
Thank you for your service to our great country.

you for doing that.
I am 14 years old and live in between Los Angeles and San Diego. We share the same last name but have no relation to each other. My school takes an eighth grade trip to Washington D.C. and each student picks a veteran on the wall.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Carl William Mann, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
