Thanks for believing in me

As a young platoon leader with the 82nd Abn, I was privileged to have served under the leadership of Captain Bob (Call sign “Gallahad”). We were normally his point platoon because he believed in us. He was a true mentor, great warrior, yet compassionate during conflicts. You gave it all, you’re a hero. Rest in heaven!

Forever in my Memory and Heart

I had the honor of serving as Bob's XO on his last operation. He was the epitomy of an Army Officer and I learned so much from him. He had a bumper sticker attached to his locker that read" What if they gave a war and nobody came?" That has remained in my mind all these years and will forever. Being a true warrior, Bob lived and worked to help us to never have to go to war again. He is the human standard by which I try to live my life. You will never be forgotten, Bob.
