Douglas
In 1965 I was 7 years old. My older brothers Calvin and Douglas Leach were both in the Army one in Korea and one in Viet Nam. It was a very cold night the taxi driver pulled up in front of our house at 2:00am and gave my mother the telegram that Douglas had been killed in action. My world stopped turning because this was my invincible older brother who could do any thing. I remember every detail of the military funeral and my other big brother Calvin coming home from Korea for the funeral. The movie We Were Soldiers meant a lot to me showing all the brave men of the 7th Calvary. I still have a base ball cap with their emblem on it.
