Dear Sp4 Douglas Leach, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. Your 80th birthday just passed, happy birthday. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Happy Spring! For many of us, we have begun Lent. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Thank you for your service and your sacrifice. Thank you for stepping up and answering your country's call. Rest easy knowing you will never be forgotten.

I am from Antwerpen, Flanders in Belgium. I stumbled across your name, among many others, in the movie We Were Soldiers. As a European citizen I cannot thank you and your fellow citizens from the USA for safeguarding Freedom in the World. Europe was saved twice already in the past and I hope and pray you will save us, ungrateful nations in Europe, a third time, how undeservedly it may be, this time from the scourge of terrorists and the blind men and women who are leading us into the abyss. Thank you, thank you and thank you on beforehand.
