THE WALL OF FACES

Thank you fr your service to our country so long ago sir. I am heartened you returned home after the passage of so many years though I wish it had been under very different circumstances. May you rest in eternal peace.

That Richard C. Lannom was finally accounted for, gives me hope that his pilot, my MIA bracelet person, CDR Thomas E. Scheurich, will some day be accounted for, as well. I have always felt like we were all in this together, even though I do not wear Mr. Lannom's bracelet.

Dear Lt Richard Lannom, Thank you for your service as an Unrestricted Line Officer - Pilot on the USS ENTERPRISE. I am glad you were identified in 2018. Welcome home. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. For many of us, we have begun Lent. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

The long ride has been painful for your family & friends but today 51 years later you are home, Your service & sacrifice will not be forgotten, Semper Fi my brother.
